Guidance and Psychological Counseling undergraduate program aims to train psychological counselors who have the necessary knowledge and equipment in the field of Guidance and Psychological Counseling, are capable of solving problems by following the developments in this field, and have gained sufficient and ethical responsibility in their profession. Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling; It aims to train professionals who can effectively apply psychological counseling and guidance services for children, adolescents and adults. The Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling aims to train staff who will provide protective, preventive and improving mental health services for individuals of all ages, from prenatal to death.

About the Department

In the Department of Educational Sciences, Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling, there are a total of seven academic staff, four of which are faculty members and three research assistants.

Education Period of the Department

In the undergraduate program, four years of education are given with 240 credits. It is possible to take a total of sixteen elective courses during the education period. According to Article 44 of the Law No. 2547, the normal education period of the students is four years and they have to attend classes.

Students who graduate from the program take the title of psychological counselor and work in public and private schools, guidance and research centers, university psychological counseling centers, hospitals, business, etc. They can work in institutions and on a freelance basis.
